Kruja is known as the capital of resistance against the Ottoman invaders while Skanderbeg lead this resistance.

Ethnographic Museum is located within the fortress of Kruja. The museum is set in Toptanis family home, which is a building type “garret” of the year 1764. Flats is a cultural monument of the I-st category. In domestic premises, as well as the facilities listed in the outdoors, given a full picture of craftsmanship exercised in Kruja and in the entire country, as well as lifestyle starting 300 years before. Fully 90 % of the objects of this museum are original and 100% functional. Here we find objects in ceramic, wood, stone, iron, cotton, silk, wool, various embroidery finely exposed. The age of these facilities varies from 60-70 to 500 years.

Kruja Old Bazaar.

Only in the old district of Kruja seem that the present hour is left in the Middle Ages. Women who weave in and weave loom, men who carve wood, copper work and sewing national dress and thanks to old tradition, keep life in modern times. Handicrafts forgotten in these modern times return, rather than for locals to foreigners.
