Early in the morning, you will meet with our guides at St Theodor’s Monastery in Gjipe, to begin a 30-minute hike in one of Albania’s most exotic terrains full of dense and wild vegetation.

Stand on the edge of a cave 30 m off the ground overlooking the Ionian Sea and get ready to descend! This mini-expedition is the ultimate combination of action and scenery. The perfect rappel tour for anyone who craves adventure and does not fear heights!

After walking out of this “jungle”, you will find yourself on the side of a cliff and be greeted by the magnificent view of the Ionian Sea. While our guides prepare the equipment and safety lines you will get the chance to enjoy the spectacular scenery and take some memorable photos.

The first descent is estimated to be approximately 18 m and begins from the top of the cliff to the opening at the roof of the Pirate’s Cave, an opening that is a ten-minute walk from the initial descent.

The second descent is where you will rappel one by one through the mouth of the cave to the awaiting guides with the Stand-up Paddle Monster at the bottom.

The Stand-up Paddle Monster is a 16ft-giant-inflatable board that can float up to 8 people. If the group is bigger than 8 people then more than one Stand-up Paddle will be needed.

After the descent throughout which you will get the chance to take magnificent photos, we will continue Stand up Paddling towards Dhermi beach, where the guides will accompany you to your vehicles.

This itinerary is perfect for those who want to feel closer to nature or if you’re looking for an easy hike and some stunning pictures, that’s readily available, too.
