Canyoning in gjipe canyon
Rocky terrain, narrow passages, rapelling, waterfalls, and strong team spirit come together to create a once-in-a-lifetime canyoning experience in the spectacular Gjipe Canyon.
The adventure begins at the national road, at the entrance of Gjipe Canyon, where participants meet the guides.

Before entering the canyon, a full safety briefing is provided, and all participants are equipped with the necessary technical gear.
This activity requires average physical fitness, as the total duration is approximately 4–5 hours, including hiking, rappelling, and canyon progression.
Activity Highlights
- 7–9 rope descents, with heights ranging from 6 to 27 meters
- After the first descent, the canyon must be completed entirely — there is no exit once inside
- Stunning canyon scenery with rock formations and vertical drops
- During the summer season, the canyon is dry
- Finish the adventure at Gjipe Beach, often called “God’s Paradise”
- A 25-minute hike from the beach back to the parking area
After the Canyoning Experience
After completing the canyoning activity, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful Gjipe beach.
At Gjipe, there are also a few simple beach restaurant and bars, where you can have food, drinks, or refreshments before hiking back to the parking area.

What You Need to Bring
- Shoes suitable for hiking and water activities
- Comfortable outdoor clothing, (Note: shoes and clothes will get wet and dirty)
- Swimwear, as after finishing the canyoning activity you will relax and swim at Gjipe beach.
- 1.5 liters of water per person
- A light snack or energy food
